Subject: Looking to start an indie pop band
Guitarist and drummer just moved to Cambridge and looking to form a new band.
Mixed bag of influences! Not necessarily going to sound like these, but maybe worth knowing what we like:
The Cure, British Sea Power, Jesus and Mary Chain, Beat Happening, The Auteurs/Luke Haines, Stone Roses, Mansun, The Fall, Vichy Government, The Clash, Syd Barrett, Darling Buds, Primitives, Smiths, James, Mogwai, Epic 45, Ride, The Killers, Heavenly, Galaxie 500, Six By Seven, Wedding Present, Teenage Fanclub, Nick Drake, Los Campesinos!, Hot Silk Pockets, Seafood, Disco Inferno, Hood, Idlewild, Ivor Cutler, are a few bands we love in style and spirit. Bring your own influences too!
Something shiny, tuneful, perhaps a little bittersweet, but still fun.
We like a drink, chat and laugh/fun in the process, so commitment to that and music please! Amateurs welcome, we're no serious muso's.
